The Bad Guys follows a cunning gang of thieves, and so to match the tone of the film, we strove to create a clever social campaign that stole the show. Through a series of award-winning digital stunts, including an Instagram heist and a Youtube search stunt, we did just that.
INSTAGRAM HEIST
In an award-winning trailer-launch stunt, we took over the Dreamworks instagram, archiving all of their posts and leaving a ransom note from The Bad Guys. Throughout the day, The Bad Guys posted a series of increasingly ridiculous demands on the Dreamworks IG story. When the demands were not met, they released the trailer.
